Friday, March 25: Today, I finished writing my script for the animation. The reason why I was still writing the script was that there was a flaw in my script because something that I mentioned in the first scene was never reiterated in the end. It was disputable whether there was any point in having the first scene there because it wasn’t really used.
**Note to self: Find an organization that supports and promotes anti-discrimination.
Saturday, March 26: I don’t think that I will have time to work on my animation today because I have to go to Cadets as well as studying for the tests in Exercise Science and Chemistry on Monday.
Sunday, March 27: Did not get that much work done this weekend –– did get some preliminary research done.
Monday, March 28: I was looking for NGO’s that promote anti-discrimination but I was not able to find one. I will modify my research to accommodate profit organizations because they may be more well-known.
Tuesday, March 29: I finally found an organization that promotes anti-discrimination, and it’s called Minority Rights Group International (MRGi). This group has been associated with the European Union Community Action Programme to Combat Discrimination since 2001, and was established to support the effective implementation of new anti-discrimination legislation. http://www.minorityrights.org/2807/themes/antidiscrimination.html
Thursday, March 31: Aside from birthday celebrations, I was able to find more information on MRG. This organization runs online campaigns such as "Trouble in Paradise", that focuses on the displacement of indigenous peoples to make space for attraction such as safari adventures, and the construction of beaches.
Sunday, April 3: Oops! Correction: Minority Rights Group International is an international NGO with a Council that meets two times per year, keeps up communication with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and have an observer status in the African Commission for Human and Peoples' Rights. Monday, April 4: A few examples groups and places where they have made a solid difference are Batwa (Central Africa), Roma (Europe), The Christians in Iraq and the Dalits in Nepal and India.
